Mechanism of Action & Research Applications

Alarelin Acetate acts as a GnRH agonist, stimulating pituitary release of LH and FSH. It’s widely utilized in reproductive research for inducing ovulation in mammals and spawning in fish, and for studying sexual maturation and hormonal regulation. It also shows antitumor effects in endometrial carcinoma models.  It binds GnRHR with high affinity (Kd ? 0.2 nM) and reduces tumor growth in xenograft models.
