描述

NovoSeven is a recombinant activated form of human coagulation Factor VII (rFVIIa), developed using genetic engineering techniques. It mimics the natural function of plasma-derived FVIIa by initiating thrombin generation via tissue factor-dependent and -independent pathways. It is commonly used in experimental models of hemophilia A and B, bleeding disorders, and thrombogenesis research.

Each vial contains 1mg (50KIU) of rFVIIa, produced by Novo Nordisk A/S (Denmark). This product is approved by the Chinese NMPA under the registration number SJ20150061 with product code 86978997002928.

?? For laboratory research use only. Not for clinical or veterinary applications.

Recombinant Human Coagulation Factor VIIa Mechanism & Research Applications

Recombinant Factor VIIa functions by binding to tissue factor (TF) exposed at sites of vascular injury, initiating the extrinsic coagulation cascade. It activates Factor X to Xa and Factor IX to IXa, leading to thrombin formation and fibrin clot stabilization. In high doses, rFVIIa can also promote hemostasis independent of TF by activating platelets directly.

This makes it a key molecule in research focused on:

  • Hemophilia A and B models (with or without inhibitors)

  • Platelet function and thrombin generation

  • Thrombosis and bleeding disorders

  • Novel anticoagulant reversal strategies

  • Coagulation pathway assays
